The Search for Alice
2011 was the Centenary year of the closure of Wonderland City Amusement Park that sprawled across Tamarama Park until its demolition in 1911. On closure, Alice the Elephant, Wonderland City’s star attraction disappeared. It was said that she was shot and buried in the sand at Tamarama beach. This was the search for her remains.
