roughs for the installation

Tallyho Box Set, 2011

About the work:

In Tallyho Box set the impact of human activity comes to the forefront as human interference with the animal body accelerates
and the battle for scarce resources manifests itself in the most unlikely of scenarios. The fantastical world of Disney is turned
upside down as the passive fawns natural role shifts: species are pushed to the brink and their instincts mutated as their
environments are manipulated and resources depleted. Tallyho with its gaudy painted box implies it’s all a game, the pieces may be
moved about on or off the board, the horn may be blown, but in the end there is no winner.

Did you know?

All the fawn in this installation were sourced from deer farm in the USA, all were still born or died naturally shortly after birth.
